Min DC rights for SP IT.

I have a domain controller that I want a user to backup. I do not want this user to have un-necessary privileges on the DC's console.

What are the minimum user rights or AD group memberships that I can assign to do a Shadow Protect IT edition backup?

    Thanks.

The logon session under which ShadowProtectPE.exe runs must be that of a user belonging to either the Administrators or Backup Users groups on the machine on which the backup is occurring.

Thanks, was hoping less would do.

Yeah, I can understand that.  The thing is, in order to backup your logical volumes the process doing the work needs permission to do DASD reads of your entire volume and, well, that requires a good deal of privilege (admin or backup user).  Not much we can do about that.  :(
