    ShadowProtect Storage Devices

I need to back up six servers and am in the process of purchasing ShadowProtect.  I have a couple of NAS boxes with other data but would like a dedicated device for the back ups.  Any recommendations on storage devices that work well with ShadowProtect?

A Win2k3 server box e.g. based on an IBM x3650 with 500 GB SATA disks is the most comfortable and compatible solution because you can later on add agents for tape backup software. In the low end we recommend and use Synology DS207+ and DS508 because web management is good and there is a boat load of functionality crammed into the flash. Also because of relatively recent CPU used, performance is not abysmal like with other vendors.

Jack of many trades, master of none.
