    To Backup a NAS

     Hi,

    I have a client who use a NAS for share all documents of his enterprise. I would like to know how to backup this NAS with SP ?

    This is not possible unless you have a NAS based on Windows Server. You will have to relocate data to an eSATA drive or some expansion unit like IBM EXP3000 for SP to see the disk from a Windows machine as directly connection block device. Then it will work.

    it is a small enterprise, what is the best solution for backup a network share with SP ?

    No solution for a backup if the documents was created and modifed on the network share ?

    You haven't grasped yet why SP is technically unable to backup remote filesystems like networked NAS devices and similar. The volume must be a disk to the Windows system, not a network share. SP cannot backup shares, only TO shares. Regular disks that can be backed up are PATA/SATA/SAS/FC disks.
