    "C" Drive Restore Procedure

I'm using ShadowProtect Desktop v3.0 on a win xp pro, sp3 box.

I create a weekly full backup on Sunday.  Monday through Saturday I create incremental backups. I need to restore my C drive through Wed 10/15/2008, because on the evening of Thurs 10/16, I introduced some very nasty malware to my C drive.

    A few Questions:

    1. Will restoring from a full backup overwrite malware  on the C drive?

    2.  Before I restore my C drive, are there any "got-chas" that I need to be aware of?

    3.  To restore my C drive, the correct procedure is:

    a. Restore full backup created on Sun 10/12

    b. Restore increment created on Mon 10/13

c.Restore increment created on Tue  10/14

    d. Restore increment created on Wed 10/15

    e. Be more careful about what I download!!!!!

    Thanks much!!!

Just restore from the Wed. incremental.

It will include everything going back to the full backup.

You don't need to start with the full and do the incrementals like you posted.

If there are any new files you created since Wed. that you need to keep, scan them with your malware scanner, and move them to another drive, so you can move them back after the restore.
