After installing Shadow Protect Server Edition 3.2 I wanted to install Image Manager to control and manage the backup files on the network share.
As administrator of servers in a small entity in government environment there is given only very few rights on the AD domain. Nevertheless I've both a local administrator account on the backuped server and a Domain account which isn't domain administrator but has given its administrator rights by group membership, this account is local Administrator on that server. Every time I try to install Image manager the task hangs and after a timeout period I get the following error message :
Error 1920. Service StorageCraft Image Manager (StorageCraft Image Manager)failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
I've also verified the permissions to the network share where the backups are written and I've given Everyone full rights to exclude access problems to the backup share.
I have to cancel the install task as it never succeds to start the service.
