Does SP 3.0 support 64 bit OS

I have checked your forums and the User guide for the product and I cannot find confirmation of 64 bit support. Can you confirm whether or not the Windows Server 2003 64 bit is natively  supported?

    Thanks

The installed product does not yet support x64.  We're almost done with that, so my guess is that it will be released in a 3.x update in a month or two.

You can, however, backup and restore within the booted recovery environment, basic and dynamic volumes, including volumes of 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems (windows, linux, etc).

Does StorageCraft discourage installing ShadowProtect on 64-bit servers until the update is released? I wasn't aware of this limitation until I saw this post.

It's not really a matter of discouragement.  We simply don't yet have an installed version of our product for x64.  The only thing remaining for x64 support is an x64 build of stcvsm.sys.  The full source has been thoroughly reviewed (every line reviewed, twice over) for any potential porting issues, which was the primary task, so there is not much left to do for the x64 build of stcvsm.sys aside from vigorous testing.  I don't know when it will be available, but I'd guess (no promises here) that it'll make an appearance within a couple of months.

Hello, Any word on when the x64 support version will be out? I'm currently running 3.0 and I need to migrate our 2003x64 servers to new hardware, however I'd like todo this live (as live as possible!).

Thanks guys, love your product.. I've been recommending it to everyone!

It's hard to say, exactly, by my best guess is that we'll have x64 support sometime around the end of December.  That's not official or anything - just my personal estimate.  As long as something else doesn't come up and preempt work on x64, then it will be code-complete in four weeks.  Add a couple more weeks to test and resolve any bugs and two more for good measure and you're at the end of December.  I think that's a reasonable estimate.

Well it's been a while since we have heard about the 64 bit version.  Can you give us an update?  I am really looking forward to using this product!

I'm also eagerly awaiting for the 64-bit version...for my Vista Ultimate workstation. From everything I've read and heard this is a great production, but I haven't dared to install it on my 64-bit machines for fear of bad things happening. When will the desktop version be 64-bit? And will it be Vista Certified?

Actually Vista has the best roll back features I have seen to date, I installed acronis and was able to roll back completely!  I cannot wait to get Storage Crafts program running because we already use it at home and I am anxious to get it running in my sales offices as well.  Until then it is retrospect :(

3.2, with x64 support, is now available.  You can download the installer from the main www.storagecraft.com page.  Thanks for waiting!

    Is 3.2 Vista Certified?

ShadowProtect 3.2 is not "Vista Certified" but it is fully functional on Vista and all binaries are signed.
