Gentlemen,
Sorry to interrupt. I've been owning a My World Book 2To since early March this year, and am desperately looking for knowledgeable help.
I am myself NO computer expert, and you guys sound like the right people...
The problem appears with Retrospect backups, but looks like the root cause is rather the way Mionet manages access to the drive.
Recently, my trial version of Mionet Premium expired. I didn't subsribe to have it prolonged. Since then my disk appears with a different IP address. I had previously 192.168.1.20 and now I have 192.168.1.21. Previously, I had to reinstall Mionet following some problems when I setup the drive. Initially I had 192.168.1.23.
Retrospect seems to keep trace of both the former addresses and the new one: When I configure the backup, I see three different drives at the three different addresses, although only the one with 192.168.1.21 has a long name with this intricate number that Mionet has created.
Now, when I try to run a backup on folders that I had already backed up a few times, Retrospect tells me that the drive has not enough disk space (I checked and have 700+ Gb left), and doesn't do the incremental backup.
Last time, when I had to reinstall Mionet, I had to redo completely my backups, which took me 5 full days given the shity transfer rate.
I wouldn't like to do that again, and would greatly appreciate if anyone of you could help me sort this out the right way. I guess it has something to do with assigning a fix IP to my drive, but even this I wouldn't know how to do...
In advance, many thanks for your support.
