I am trialing SP. Where can I get more information on how the retention policy work ?? By the way, I am unable to locate where to specify the retention policy, not sure if it is because it is a trial version or not.

when creating or editing a backup job, click the Advanced button on the Options page, and go to the last tab called Retention. basically you define how many image sets you want to keep; a set if defined as a full backup image and all incrementals until the next full backup. for example in my case we run a full backup every sunday and incrementals monday-saturday. our retention policy is set to keep 3 sets+delete full & incrementals+enforce policy before starting next full backup so we when our full backups on sunday complete we have 3 weeks worth of backup history

Thanks for the information. Did you use the 'continuous incremental' option ? Reason being we will be backing up a remote site so it is not practical to perform regular fullback. Just wonder if I use 'continuous incremental', how do I set the retention to 3 weeks. Any advise most appreciate.
