Can ShadowProtect Desktop restore a backup image of any individual logical partition on a single, multiple-partitioned physical hard drive without overwriting or modifying data on the remaining logical partitions?
For example, if the PC has a single physical HD with three partitions (OS on logical 'C' Drive, and other data files (or another OS) on logical partitions 'D' and 'E' - again, same physical HD), can you create a backup/restore image of only the 'C' partition (or another selected partition) that can be restored without overwriting the 'D' and 'E' (or other) partitions, and the existing data on those other partitions remaining usable and intact?
btw - - - I have been using Norton Ghost 2003 for several years because it is just about the only utility that I'm aware of within reach of consumers that can do this in a single step (albeit, from a boot-disc mode outside Windows). Also, by comparison, and as far as I know, even the latest versions of Acronis TrueImage (consumer) will
overwrite ALL existing partitions on a physical drive, even if you only
want to restore just one partition.
Would love to try ShadowProtect if it can do this reliably.
Regret if this is already answered elsewhere in the Forum, but could not find it after some searching, and is not clear from the User Guide.
