Unable to authenticate against active directory

    Hello

I am trying to create an image from a machine using recovery CD. It boots up fine, network drive is found, IP address is assigned. I can even connect to it with VNC.

Then I go to create an image which I type in \\servername\sharename for destination. It just keeps failing. Why would it not ask for user name password? I Need to be able to put domain\username and password.

I can’t browse manually through the network both because sharing does not start and is greyed out. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

You need to manually map a drive using the Network Configuration Utility.  Click on the "Network Drives" button on the upper left hand corner of the utility.  Enter your path and credentials and select the drive letter you wish to use.  Don't forget to enter the full credentials, such as domain\user or remotecomputer\user.

WOW thanks for quick reply. It worked. But I will I was able to navigate through network manually.

    One more question:

Why the “install and start networking sharing service is not greyed out?”
