I seem to be getting pretty slow transfer speeds when backing up to my eSata drive. Speeds average around 12-14MB/s. I've updated drivers for the eSata controller and speeds are still slow.
However, when I copy a large file (1GB) to the same drive, speeds average around 80MB/s.
I've disabled performance throttling and enabled write caching to try and speed up the process but it still a no go.
Any ideas?
UPDATE: After an update to the latest version of Windows 7 and a complete uninstall/reinstall of SP, I'm now averaging around 70MB/s.
Not bad, not bad. :)
