A Doctor, friend of mine, is looking for a decent backup program!
But the man has no internet-connection and is not prepared to get one.
So, my simple quest, is: can he use SP Desktop and activate the program, without being connected on the net.
Or, are there some problems to be expected?

Yes, but you still need to Activate the license. Without an internet connection, you can do this over the phone, just as you would for Windows and other applications.
