  • Verification Fails (but Backup Successful)

I have completed several full backups of my Drive (E:) and they complete successfully. I can also Explore the backups. However, when I try to verify any of the backups, I always get errors (see below). Are the backups corrupted? Any suggestions for how to create a backup that can be verified successfully...

  • Re: Fatal I/O Errors - Tried two different DVD burners!

DaveMC Your first CRC related error may well have nothing to do with the DVD. The failure occured durign a read operation. • Re: Cannot Backup C Drive

Antonius, You do have two different issues taking place. It does look like our VSS provider is not started, but even though it is not started, there are two other method to take a snapshot and it looks like one of them worked. That is not the major issue. The major issue is that you have some hard drive...

  • Header Mismatch Error and inconsistent verifies

I've gotten a header mismatch error from Image Manager when it tries to create a weekly (cw) file. It can't seem to get past the problem. It continues to create daily (cd) files. I'm also getting an odd behavior from IM that is probably related. Unfortunately, the backup verify gives me varying...

  • Re: Fatal I/O error

I/O errors on read or on write are the most common cause of a backup failure. In most situations it indicates a problem with a hard drive. Sometimes these problems can be significant, sometimes they are small and easy to fix. If the error is on read, then it is the drive being backed up that has the...
