Is this happening on the SBS 2008 RTM system you mentioned in an earlier post. Did you configure the SBS to run as a domain controller? If so, then I seem to remember reading that Symantec recommends not running the SEP Manager on such a server. The SEP Manager component also tends to be resource intensive...
