  • Re: RAID Access Failure

Yup, lol . . . some things are built for comfort, some for security, some for speed. In the future, I'll be running without RAID at all. I personally don't think its worth it. Anyhow, to get back to my problem . . . I thought it worth reporting that I ran CHKDSK from XPs recovery console, and...

  • RAID Access Failure

I bought 2 copies of Desktop (v3.202) and DL'd one copy to this Dell machine (24 days remaining on trial). I have not been able to backup the C: drive because of the error shown below. On my first attempt I tried backing up everything (3xC: partitions, 1xD: full backups) to a third PC on the network...

  • After restoring I can't log in

Hi. I am running XP-Pro on a Dell 8600 laptop. The Dell has a Hitachi 60gb drive. I own 2 identical 60gb drives. Using ShadowDesktop 3.2, I took an image of my 60gb. I put that image on an Iomega 320 USB20 drive. I (think I) did this from the program, not the Recovery CD (sorry). After successfully taking...

  • Re: Verify Image, failed but no errors

I finally got a good backup and a good verify. Your suspicion about eSATA devices led me to try changing the drive over to a FireWire400 interface, which it is capable of doing. (My ASUS mobo doesn't have a FireWire800.) Something I did initially produced two partitions on that one drive, the second...

  • P2V HIR Fatal I/O Error

Using shadowprotect server 3.2 I backed up this one server (windows server 2000). I put the .spf files on an external USB drive and brought it over to another server (also running Windows Server 2000) on which Virtual PC 2004 is running. I made a new virtual machine, formatted the appropriately sized...

  • Drive Letters swapped in Backup Wizard (v3.2 CD)

I just finished building an HP DL380 G5 with the SmartArray P400 controller and SBS 2003 R2 and was going to back it up using the v3.2 CD. However, when I booted the CD (tried both recovery modes) the ShadowProtect Backup Wizard is swapping my drive letters. For instance, Windows disk management is showing...

  • Re: Unmountable Boot Volume BSOD after install of SPD 3.2 in Vista x64

Yes... stcvsm.sys was in the C:\windows\system32\drivers directory and I tried a few re-installs. After I installed Vista service pack 1 and reinstalled SPDesktop 3.2 everything worked fine. I am looking foward to using ShadowProtect.
