Problem restoring to Vmware Server

I have backed up my Windows XP SP3 system drive with Shadowprotect Desktop 3.1, and I cannot restore the backup to a virtual server I create with Vmware Server 1.0.6. I can start the Shadowdestop recovery environment all right in Vmware Server, but the problems come when Shadowprotect starts reading...
