Unable To Install Network Adapter

Hi I spent the good half of the day browsing your KB and Forums and FAQ’s to try and find the solution to my problem. I’ve read a couple of options but being the novice that I am, I’m afraid I’m none the wiser. Could you please help? I am first time user trying to do a restore using the Recovery Environment...

The NIC driver you need is one that is compatible with the ShadowProtect recovery disk environment you are using. If you boot into the Vista-based (Recommended) environment, then you need to load the Vista 32-bit driver, rather than any DOS driver. In some cases, you might be lucky and have a Win7 driver...

Lower the rank, the better a match is for the device. A rank of zero is the best match. With things like this, it is often better to just check Microsoft's MSDN pages. Hi Yeah, DevCon is really handy to get the Hardware ID for the device in question. You can then use that ID to help identify a driver and/or even hack an existing driver INF file to include that Hardware ID (and therefore force Windows to load a driver if you did not have a suitable inf file to hand...
